Hello Everyone!  I know it's been a while since I've posted anything on here, but what can I say...Life happened.  I now have 4 beautiful daughters and my home business is starting to take off!  I have an etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/thepickaknitbasket, and a new FB page for you to "like" http://www.facebook.com/pages/Pick-a-Knit-Basket.

Head on over to FB page and "like" it, you must be a fan to participate in the giveaway, click on the giveaway phot and tag yourself in it, then share the photo on your FB page or wall.  That's it!  Once I get to 100 fans I will randomly draw a name from the tags on the photo!  So start tagging and sharing!

Cupcake Hat

In September of last year I decided I wanted to make a cupcake hat for my yougest daughter's 1st Birthday. I couldn't find a pattern that I liked so I created my own. About a week later, and a LOT of trial and error, I finished. Shortly thereafter, friends' family, and complete strangers who saw my daughter sporting her new hat, we're asking me if i was taking orders. In Janruary 2010 I submitted my cupcake hat design into the Vanna's Choice contest being hosted by Michael's craft stores. The winners will be announced at the end of this month. I'm kepping my fingers (and needles) crossed! Wish me luck and Happy knitting!
